Confederation has had an overwhelming response to its launch of CSUV, and has set the gold standard for the Start-Up Visa Program in Canada. The CSUV program is extremely popular, as it is a fast, simple and straight-forward route direct to Permanent Residence, which allows the applicant to live anywhere in Canada. Confederation will manage the complete process, including business concept and IRCC matters. This is truly a great opportunity for your clients.
The benefits of the CSUV - Angel Stream are as follows:
Changes are possible in the CSUV in 2021, such as increased investment amounts and defined job creation. We strongly recommend that all prospective clients apply right away, to be locked-in under the current IRCC requirements.
Confederation has reduced its processing fee by $5,000, bringing the new PEIPNP price to $60,000 (Confederation's processing fee of $50,000, plus the $10,000 PEI Government application fee). This new pricing applies to all clients who sign a Professional Services Agreement and transfer a deposit after Dec.1/20.
The PEI Government draws Work Permit clients from the EOI pool each month. In the draw of Jan. 21, 2021, Entrepreneur candidates with scores of 80 and above were invited to apply. This new, lowest-ever score makes PEIPNP a very attractive and viable option for many clients. Please click here to see the schedule of 2021 draw dates.
Due to COVID-related travel bans, and a mandatory 2 week isolation period for anyone entering Canada, the PEI Government is conducting virtual/remote interviews and landing appointments temporarily. Please click here to apply for travel entry to PEI.
The PEIPNP allows an applicant family to move to PEI on a Work Permit, and run a local business for 1 year before applying for permanent residence status.
The NSNP allows an applicant family to move to NS on a Work Permit, and run a local business for 1 year before applying for nomination and permanent residence status. The NS Government draws Work Permit clients from the EOI pool, and invites those clients to apply.
The Bulgaria Government has just re-introduced the Fast-Track Citizenship Program. This promises to be the most popular European citizenship program available today!
The Bulgaria program allows clients to invest in Bulgaria-listed stocks and obtain lifelong permanent residency in just 4-6 months. Confederation offers a very attractive option to finance the purchase of stocks for 6 years. After holding PR status for 1 year, the client may apply for Fast-Track citizenship (or apply for citizenship after 5 years, under the standard program). PR allows the applicant and family to work/live/study in Bulgaria, and citizenship allows visa-free travel to 142 countries (including Canada and Europe). All nationalities are welcome to apply.
Program materials will be available soon.
The Portugal Golden Visa Program requires applicants to purchase and hold property in Portugal for at least 5 years: EUR 500,000 (new/urban), EUR 400,000 (new/rural), EUR 350,000 (refurbished/urban), or EUR 280,000 (refurbished/rural). The Golden Visa allows the applicant and family to reside, work, and attend school in Portugal, and apply for citizenship after 5 years of residency (1 week of residency per year). The program has no nationality restrictions, and fast government processing.
Key features:
Under EB5, there is no language requirement, no age limit, and no management experience requirement. Applicants must have a net worth of minimum $1 million USD, and be able to document the source and path of funds for the investment and fees. Refused Quebec and Canadian investor cases are welcome to apply to EB5.
The new COVID-19 Relief Bond allows applicants to invest in a Government bond for USD $250,000 (expiry dates vary by family size, from 5-7 years). This is a 50% reduction in the regular bond investment level, and is available until Dec.31/21.
Citizens of Saint Lucia may travel visa-free to the European Union, Hong Kong, and the U.K. Government processing times are approximately 4 months, and the program offers both cash and real estate investment options. Iranians citizens are no longer able to apply (regardless of their current country of residence), due to problems conducting due diligence checks, and banking restrictions.
Siblings may now be included as dependents in the application if they are unmarried. The minimum age for dependent parents/grandparents has decreased to 55 years, and the maximum age of dependent children has increased to 30.
An Antigua passport allows visa-free travel to many countries worldwide, including the U.K., the European Union, and Hong Kong. Iranians are eligible to apply as long as they have permanent residence status in any non-restricted country, have resided outside Iran for at least 10 years, and maintain no economic ties to Iran.
Grenada is the only Caribbean country that allows citizenship to be passed along to investors’ future spouses and children. There is no residency, language, education, or interview requirement, and both cash and real estate investment options are available. Due to banking restrictions, citizens of Iran are not eligible to apply.
The USA E-2 visa allows entrepreneurs from a treaty country (such as Grenada) to come to the USA to open and operate a business. It does not lead directly to permanent residency, but rather can be extended indefinitely, and may provide applicants with options to obtain a green card while on E-2 status. The E-2 visa allows a spouse and unmarried children (under age 21) to enter the USA with the principal applicant, and to work or attend school.
Citizens of Dominica may travel visa-free to all the countries of the European Union, Hong Kong, and the U.K. Dominica is a fast, efficient program, and offers both cash and real estate investment options. An Iranian national could apply if he/she provided a detailed source of funds showing that the funds were earned in another country (and funds must be transferred from that other country).
The Government has introduced a limited time offer for the Sustainable Growth Fund: a family of maximum 4 people can invest USD $150,000 (down from USD $195,000). This offer is valid until Jan. 15, 2021, and available to a limited number of applicants.
Siblings may now be included as dependents in the application if they are 30 years of age or younger, childless, unmarried, and financially dependent on the principal applicant. This is not retroactive; it applies to new/future files only.
St. Kitts’ citizens may travel visa-free to all countries of the European Union, Hong Kong, and the U.K. The St. Kitts program offers both real estate and cash investment options, and there is no residency, language, or interview requirement. The program is now stating a 60-day processing time frame. Citizens of Afghanistan, Iran, and North Korea are not eligible to apply.
Confederation has been approved to promote the PEI International Student Program. This program will allow secondary school students to obtain a Study Permit to attend school in PEI. All applicants must have a minimum level of English proficiency (written and spoken).
Please check up-to-date travel advisories and restrictions, and advise all clients to only travel when it is absolutely necessary.
Canada Canada has imposed travel restrictions on people entering the country, and Canadian Border Services will assess the health of everyone upon arrival in Canada. Note that each province has its own travel restrictions, so while someone may be allowed to enter Canada, they may not be able to travel to their destination province. Anyone who travels internationally is subject to a mandatory 14-day self-isolation period upon entering Canada, even if they show no symptoms. All travellers age 5 and over must now show a negative Covid test result before boarding a flight to Canada (the test must be taken within the last 72 hours).
People who have received Work Permits, Permanent Resident Visas, etc., are encouraged NOT to travel at this time, unless it is essential. Travelling solely to activate a visa is NOT considered an essential reason to travel. Rather, people are encouraged to attend landing appointments by phone, and to extend their visas until it is safe to travel.
